it is a long day. we wake up at five after five hours sleep. children are coping well with the 2 children of our house owners. they will leave for their sabbatical in Italy in 12 days. we have been shopping, bathing in the swimming pool. Geir understands well. I now realized he has been talking most English for the last 10 years. I am used to the English we talk at my department, Bangla English, Bulgarian English, Norwegian English. Not easy to understand the children here. Eirik speaks better than I believed. I have got a cellular phone.

Una borsa con un PC, il mio, l'ebook, i passaporti, le chiavi di casa di Pisa, i biglietti aerei, il contratto della casa in Australia e le bollette della casa di Pisa. I have been thinking for a while that I should write a new book. Today, in my mind, I get the title and the main parts.  It should be a sort of Cuore & Computer 2, that starts where C&C ends. I should use the material in this blog. It depends from what I will find in Australia. It depends on the feedback I will get about Partenze. If I will have to work on Partenze I will not have time to work on this one.



If you google the word software, today 20th December 2008, you get 161 millions answers. Google books gives 125,581  books on software. To the reader who wonders why she should read my book about software, I tell that she should be interested in my story and in my feelings. If she is looking for mere facts about software, she should rather consult wikipedia and other sources of facts. My goal when writing this is that you will get the energy to open wikipedia and other sources to know more about software, that is the fuel of year 2000. No software no power. Do not say I do not understand software, as you will be saying - I do not want to understand power. I give up. I am too old. Nobody is too old. We must struggle for software and power.  We must laugh too. About software? Citing Obama, since I have big ears too, I can say "yes we can".

What do you think about this idea?

I know I am crazy, but today, when I wake up, my first though was this. The ArTe competition will be a cooperation competition. We will encourage pupils to work in cooperative projects, the largest the best. Example, given gimp, make a collaborative illustration that is an advertisement for the town of Trondheim, or for a given festival, or for an humanitarian initiative. Given a programming language, say Python make a web based application for pupils in Trondheim municipality. We have to solve this challenge about where to host web applications. May be on idi's servers. My an-gel An-y will solve this challenge too.

the new ars electronica center opens 2nd January 2009. this year, in september I will attend ars electronica. I have been dreaming about it for years

I found out that there is a site called gimp.no, with 1500 active registered users and with an active Christmas Card competition. Concerning the competition of the ArTe project, I start thinking that some form for competition should be open for the whole 2009. I believe that users should have a mechanism to comment/vote each other contributions. We have to decide the prize and the award day.
